2026 BCBSIL Dental Plans
The traditional dental insurance plans offered through BCBSIL are "buy-up" options if you'd like supplemental coverage in addition to the Aspen Dental Discount Program. BCBSIL provides a national provider network for you and your family. You have the choice between the Standard Plan and the Enhanced Plan, the primary difference between the plans are the deductibles and the coverage for Orthodontia.

BCBSIL & Aspen Dental: Participants who are diagnosed and receiving active medical care for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, pre-diabetes, or pregnancy qualify for one of the following dental services once their regular dental benefits have been fully exhausted:
- Preventive cleaning
- Periodontal scaling and root planning
- Periodontal maintenance cleaning
This additional service will be applied toward your individual annual maximum.
DID YOU KNOW: If you have an urgent dental concern or are unable to visit a dentist, you may be eligible for a virtual dental visit, powered by teledentistry.com. You and your covered dependents can use these visits when you:
- Have an urgent dental issue and can't see your dentist
- Need access to a dentist after business hours
- Want to consult a dentist without leaving home
Aspen Dental Discount Program
The Aspen Dental Discount Program is a free plan that you are automatically eligible to participate in. You are eligible to receive a 25% discount off all services* and then your benefits are calculated based on the discounted rates. Additionally, there are no annual maximums or deductibles!
You and your eligible dependents** can enjoy exclusive savings at Aspen Dental locations:
- Diagnostic & Preventative Services (e.g., x-rays, cleanings, exams) are FREE
- Basic & Restorative Services (e.g., fillings, extractions) – pay 20% after TAG employee discount.
- Major Services (e.g., dentures, crowns, bridges) – pay 50% after TAG employee discount
Motto Clear Aligners
Aspen Dental offices offer generous employee discounts on orthodontic services, like Motto, our clear aligners. Not only will you pay less for treatment, as a team member you can also choose to make payments through convenient payroll deductions.
How Does It Work?
Team Members are automatically eligible for discounts starting the first month after 30 days of employment. Once eligible, follow the steps below to start saving!
- Schedule an appointment at an Aspen Dental facility by calling 866-541-5652. Make sure you identify yourself as a Team Member.
- Aspen Dental will apply all applicable discounts before submitting charges if you have dental insurance in place.
DID YOU KNOW: Aspen Dental does not do pediatric dentistry – so if you need dental insurance for your kids under age 18, you might consider if the BCBSIL dental plan options will meet your needs.
*Discount cannot be used in combination with other discounts or promotions.
**Eligible dependents must be verified in Workday to apply the discount, as Aspen Dental offices serve patients ages 18 and older.
Learn The Lingo
Preventive Care: Routine services that help you stay healthy. When in network and meeting guidelines, these are typically covered at no cost to you.
Deductible: What you pay for covered services before the plan starts sharing costs.
Premium: The amount you pay for your health insurance coverage, deducted from your paycheck each pay period. This is what you pay to have coverage, regardless of whether you use medical services. Your premium is separate from deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
In-Network Care: In-network providers offer services at negotiated rates, resulting in cost savings for you.
Out-of-Network Care: When you receive care outside the plan’s network, you may experience higher costs and balance billing. While you still have the option to seek care outside the network, it’s important to be aware of the financial implications.
