401(k) Retirement Plan

Being ready for retirement is an important part of financial wellness. The key to success is to start saving now. The Aspen Group 401(k) Plan offers a variety of investment options. The company generously matches Team Member 401(k) contributions to help grow your retirement savings.

Contact T. Rowe Price or download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play to set up your 401(k) account. You can set up your account to start contributing as soon as you are able, and even roll over previous savings to have your retirement account in one convenient place!

Eligibility

All TAG Team Members, Full and Part Time, are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Pre-Tax & Roth Options

You have a choice between pre-tax and Roth (post-tax) contributions. With pre-tax, your contributions are deducted from your paycheck before taxes, which means you save on taxes while building your retirement fund. With Roth, you pay taxes on your contributions up front, but your withdraws in retirement are tax-free.

Consider your current tax situation when choosing between pre-tax and Roth retirement contributions.

What’s The Difference?

  • If you expect to be in a higher tax bracket during retirement, Roth contributions might be more beneficial. Pay taxes on your contributions now and enjoy tax-free withdrawals later.
  • On the other hand, if you’re in a higher tax bracket now and anticipate a lower one in retirement, pre-tax contributions can reduce your current tax bill.

Get the Match

Be empowered to save for your future. Take full advantage of the TAG 401(k) match.

  • The match will begin on the first of the month following one year (and 1,000 hours) of working for TAG.
  • TAG will match your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to 3%, then 50% on the next 2%. The match is funded on a per pay period basis.
  • Your funds and contributions made by the company are immediately vested. This means the funds in your account are 100% yours.

Helpful Tips on Saving for Retirement

  • Begin with small contributions, if necessary, and increase over time.
  • Make setting aside money for retirement a habit.
